#namsunnews: Electronic devices in your vehicle remain visible!

Frank Steffen
The public would be well advised to never leave any electronic devices in a vehicle, no matter how well hidden they might seem. The problem is essentially the fact that people tend to not shut down their electronic devices completely, but instead leave the setting of the device in sleep mode. As in all other apps that have been developed for the greater good, the app “BlueRadar” unfortunately can be abused by criminals, who by installing the app on their mobile phones can detect all electronic equipment in their immediate vicinity. It is not a matter of connecting with the equipment, it is simply a case of being able to “see” the equipment. So no matter how well one hides these devices, the criminal is able to hone in on the devices and thereby knows which vehicle to break into!

NMH has tested this app and it does in fact do what is described above and shown in this video-clip: https://q.my.na/4FUZ

The best form of defense: DO NOT LEAVE ELECTRONIC DEVICES IN YOUR VEHICLE. If you do, be 100% sure that the vehicle is being looked after by clearly identified security guards – not random car guards. The same obviously always applies to passports and other identification documents.
