BREAKING NEWS: Murder-accused ‘Namcash’ bail hearing delayed
Forex trader Joseph Martin “Namcash” Nghishihange remains in custody after his formal bail application was postponed in the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Nghishihange, who is accused of murdering his five-year-old daughter, Mia, is expected to return to court on Thursday after his lawyer requested a postponement because she had not received payment for her services.
His lawyer, Tungouwa Ndatewapo of Jacobs Amupolo Lawyers & Conveyancers, told the court that she intended to apply for legal aid for the main criminal proceedings.
Magistrate Nelao Ya France postponed the bail application to Thursday morning.
Mia died at an Ongwediva hospital on 24 February after being taken there with injuries to her body, according to previous reports.
She was a Grade 1 pupil at Oshana Gymnasium Private School in Ongwediva. UPDATE Tuyeimo Haidula
