Trade deficit tops N$3bn
Namibia exported goods worth about N$24.3 billion in the third quarter of 2018, while imports totalled around N$27.6 billion, according to figures released by the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA).
This left Namibia with a trade deficit of approximately N$3.3 billion for the quarter, up nearly 196% compared to the previous three months. Compared to the third quarter of 2017, the trade deficit shrunk by about 60%.
