Outjo’s water arrears run into millions
More than 3 000 residents and businesses owe the Outjo municipality in excess of N$33 million and the local authority will today cut the water supply of those whose accounts are in arrears. According to the chief executive officer of the municipality, Joseph Urib, debts have been piling up since the government’s directive for all municipalities to open taps, including those of defaulters, on account of Covid-19. Residents and businesses were given an ultimatum to settle their accounts before Friday. Photo Nampa
