Finance minister Calle Schlettwein today announced some cuts in government expenditure in order to reinforce his commitment to fiscal discipline. A total of N$486.8 million was realised from internal savings by various offices, ministries and agencies. “This comprises N$121.4 million from the operational budget and N$365.4 million from the development budget. These amounts are to be suspended for reallocation across offices, ministries and agencies,” said Schlettwein. Read full story in tomorrow’s Namibian Sun.
