MyZone recently welcomed Ludwig Helu as its newest team member - a professional with over five years of experience in sales, client relations and marketing. Helu’s passion for youth empowerment and storytelling aligns perfectly with MyZone’s mission to amplify young Namibian voices through media.
Helu shared that his motivation to join MyZone stemmed from the platform’s strong focus on creating meaningful social impact. “Having worked in sales and marketing for several years, I wanted to join a platform that not only drives business growth but also creates a positive social impact. MyZone’s commitment to giving young Namibians a voice through media really resonated with me,” he said.
Reflecting on his professional journey, Helu noted that his previous roles strengthened his ability to understand client needs, build partnerships, and deliver results. “Joining MyZone felt like a natural next step to apply these skills in a media environment that values creativity and youth engagement,” he explained.
In his new role, Helu’s main goal is to expand MyZone’s client base while ensuring that existing partners see tangible value in their collaborations. “I want to position MyZone as the go-to youth media platform for brands looking to connect authentically with young audiences,” he shared, emphasising the importance of long-term client relationships.
Since joining the team, Helu has described his experience as exciting and insightful. “The team is passionate, collaborative and full of creative energy. I’ve learned a lot about how media, youth engagement, and marketing intersect,” he said.
While he anticipates challenges in navigating the fast-changing media landscape, Helu remains confident in his adaptability and proactive mindset. “I plan to handle this by staying adaptable, continuously learning, and maintaining open communication with clients and colleagues,” he stated.
When asked what sets him apart in his field, Helu said: “I combine strategic thinking with genuine relationship-building, which helps clients feel understood and valued. I’m also results-driven and always look for creative ways to deliver more than what’s expected.”
What continues to inspire Helu most about his work is seeing the positive impact it has on the youth. “Knowing that our work at MyZone can educate, inspire, and empower young people to dream bigger motivates me every day,” he concluded.
