The beginning of all wisdom

Henriette Lamprecht
So very often in our lives we search for meaning in places and people often far removed from our own reality and surroundings. A self-help book to guide us to heal, that pot of gold under the rainbow, to finally quiet down that nagging voice that keeps screaming “not good enough”, the elixir to be forever young, the path to inner peace and calm. If not a book, a mentor, someone who seem to have found what you are so desperately looking for, that scripture that gives you hope to cling to and that yes, there is light at the end of a dark tunnel. Absolutely nothing wrong with any of the above, in fact, we should read, we should reach out, we should find guidance and clarity in scripture and yes, we should empower ourselves with knowledge and always continue to learn more about ourselves and the world around us to make informed decisions. But, as a wise man called Aristotle once said “knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”. It all starts with us to continuously become and be the best version of ourselves, one day at a time, embracing our flaws and celebrating our strengths.
