Suspect struck by car during Oshakati robbery attempt

An attempted robbery at a mini market in Oshakati's Oneshila turned deadly on Friday night after a suspect was struck by a vehicle while fleeing the crime scene. According to the police, the incident happened around 20:00, when five armed men approached the market and fired shots in an attempt to gain entry. Finding the door locked, the group scattered. In the chaos, one unidentified suspect was hit by a passing car while crossing the road and died on the spot. The police have since arrested a 41-year-old male suspect, who remains in custody. Three other suspects are still at large. Investigations into the robbery are ongoing.
