SUPPORT PLEDGED
SUPPORT PLEDGED: Kavango West governor Verna Sinimbo visited members of the family affected by a suspected food poisoning incident at the Rundu hospital on 7 May, pledging her full support. Before heading to the hospital to check on the victims still receiving medical attention, she assured the family that the government would provide assistance where needed.
Two children died after eating pounded drought relief maize meal and fresh beans harvested from their field on 1 May.
The father, mother and two children were admitted to hospital for treatment. The incident took place in Sharukwe village in Kavango West.
