SHORT: Alleged thief dies in window grills
A 34-year-old man from Oluundje village in the Oshikoto region died after allegedly attempting to break into a bar and getting stuck in the window iron grills.
According to a report by the Oshikoto police, the deceased, identified as Matheus Kakeyongo, was found lifeless and hanging from the window iron grills of a bar at the Epalela cucashops in Onyaanya village. His body was discovered by school children on Thursday morning.
“It’s alleged that the deceased was trying to break into the shebeen. Unfortunately, he could not manage and got stuck between the window grills,” the police report stated. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
