PI firm tasked with helping to find missing Caylie

Namibia Investigation Services (NIS) has officially confirmed that it is providing its professional services on a pro bono basis to the parents of missing 12-year-old Caylie Anushé Hulme.

Parents Chris and Michelle Hulme “have legally executed the required mandate and power of attorney, authorising NIS to provide search assistance, investigative efforts and support in connection with the disappearance of their daughter,” NIS said in a statement.

Caylie was reported missing on Wednesday, 7 January, in Oranjemund in the ||Kharas region after she was allegedly swept away by a strong river current while swimming with her brother.

Despite extensive and coordinated search operations carried out by official authorities, local volunteers, and specialised search teams from South Africa, the minor has not yet been found.

“The family, supported by NIS, is officially appealing to all members of the public to remain vigilant, particularly in coastal, beach and fishing areas, as well as along the coastline, rivers, and riverbanks," NIS noted.

“NIS reaffirms its continued commitment to this case with the highest level of professionalism, discretion and urgency, and confirms its full cooperation with the Namibian police and all relevant law enforcement and government authorities.”

NIS said public awareness and immediate reporting could be decisive.
