NO INCREASES: The industries, mines and energy ministry’s latest fuel pricing model recorded under-recoveries of -53 cents per litre for petrol and 10ppm diesel in May, and just about a dollar per litre of diesel 50ppm. Despite this, “the ministry has decided to provide relief to consumers by keeping fuel prices for all products unchanged until the next review,” Ben Nangombe, the executive director has announced. Pump prices in Walvis Bay remain at N$20,37 per litre of petrol, N$19,92 per litre of diesel 50ppm, and N$20,02 per litre of diesel 10ppm. “The National Energy Fund (NEF) will absorb the full cost of the under-recoveries on behalf of consumers,” Nangombe said. READY TO GO: Two newly acquired ambulances have been commissioned to boost emergency medical response and patient transport services in the Zambezi region. The vehicles will enhance the region’s ability to provide timely medical assistance, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
