NamPost fake hold-up suspects denied bail

Three men, including NamPost clerk Ronald van der Westhuizen (30),were denied bail in the Maltahöhe Magistrate’s Court after allegedly staging a robbery at the Maltahöhe Post Office on 22 October. Police say van der Westhuizen conspired with Bonaventure Shimunene (23) and Delron Dauseb to steal over N$337 949 by faking a holdup. The trio, all from Gibeon, were arrested shortly after, with N$260 424 recovered from their clothes and room. About N$77 000 remains missing. Deputy Commissioner John Mwatongwe confirmed the arrests.
