Maseke urges communal farmers to transition to commercial

Agriculture deputy minister Ruth Maseke has urged subsistence farmers to transition to commercial farming.

Maseke told a youth forum hosted by her ministry in Oshana this week that the market is accessible to all. She said the youth should not ask their peers whether their ideas will succeed, but should begin working on them. She also announced that the Oshana region has been allocated approximately N$ 577 million for youth initiatives of all types, encouraging farmers in Oshana to contact their Councillor officers regarding the funds.
