Man arrested after boy (4) dies during a fight

A 34-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a four-year-old boy in Prosperita on Saturday.

According to police spokesperson, Kauna Shikwambi, the incident occurred around 21h00 on Saturday, when two couples allegedly became involved in a physical altercation. During the confrontation, the suspect reportedly struck the young child repeatedly, causing fatal injuries. The boy was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. The deceased was under the guardianship of his grandmother, who is also the girlfriend of the suspect. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
