The police in Walvis Bay are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a hit-and-run incident yesterday morning on Hannah Mupetami Road.
According to a crime report, a suspect - driving a vehicle with registration number N28860WB - allegedly operated a vehicle recklessly and/or negligently, hitting a cyclist and causing severe injuries.
The victim, who had yet to be identified by yesterday afternoon, succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the hospital.
The suspect fled the scene and is still at large.
The police have urged anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to contact Detective Warrant Officer Simataa at 081 437 7841 or Deputy Commissioner Iikuyu at 081 246 4757.
