Boy (5) dies from donkey kick

A five-year-old boy, identified by police as Tangi Junior Peingeomake Shiweda, has succumbed to injuries he sustained from a donkey three days before his death.
The incident happened on Sunday, 15 January, in the mahangu field of the boy’s grandmother - Olivia Ndiilokelwa Nghishihange - at Enoleu village in Etayi constituency of Omusati Region.
"It's alleged that the deceased was kicked by a donkey on the forehead in the mahangu field and sustained serious injuries. The deceased was then taken to St Martin's Hospital in Oshikuku for treatment and was later transferred to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital in a critical condition. The deceased then passed away on Tuesday, 17 January 2023, at around 18:00 at Oshakati Intermediate Hospital," reads the police report.
