JUST IN: DREAMS initiative supports northern education
The US government-funded Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-Free, Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) programme has handed over 100 computer tablets to the Oshikoto Region education directorate for the benefit of learners. The tablets are earmarked for 100 students who are DREAMS participants from various schools in the region. The donation comes at a time when the directorate has introduced online studies to support independent learning, reinforce the capacity to do research, and promote critical thinking among learners. The donation of tablets will enable students to access virtual platforms and online content relevant to their studies.
