Namibians joyful over rain

The Namibia Meteorological Services has warned that moderate to heavy rainfall with hailstorms will be likely in the Kunene and Otjozondjupa regions today.
It will be partly cloudy and hot in the //Karas, Kavango and Zambezi regions, while Kunene and Otjozondjupa can expect partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions.
Windy weather expected to persist in the interior.
On Wednesday, the extreme heat was broken when it rained at several places throughout the country. Namibians were in their element as they reported how much rain they received.
In Windhoek near the University of Namibia, 15.1 millimetres was measured, while 5.5mm was recorded in Pionierspark, 7.5mm in Hochlandpark, 7mm in Kleine Kuppe and 2mm in Eros.
About 76mm fell at Farm Tsuwandes about 50 kilometres from Outjo, while 20mm was measured in Otjiwarongo, 28mm in Tsumeb and 12mm at Vieranas, located 25km from Kamanjab.
Otavi got 16mm and Okahandja 14mm, while from Omitara to Witvlei, between 10mm to 26mm was measured.
