Tourism Expo: FNB, NBL come on board as sponsors
Cashback vouchers up for grabs
The Tourism Expo will take place from 3 to 5 November at the SKW sports grounds in Olympia, Windhoek.
Just in time for World Tourism Day - celebrated throughout the world today, 27 September - Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) has announced that the Tourism Expo will now be supported by First National Bank (FNB) Namibia and Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL).
As part of their support, the two corporate giants will finance ‘tourism cashback vouchers’ to the tune of N$250 000.
The Tourism Expo will take place from 3 to 5 November at the SKW sports grounds in Olympia, Windhoek.
The vouchers will allow expo attendees to qualify for N$1 000 cashback when booking and paying for accommodation and activity offerings at the event – often at a special rate in the first place.
The vouchers will only be valid for the three days of the Tourism Expo, and are aimed at injecting necessary cashflow into the industry while promoting travel.
Tourism minister Pohamba Shifeta will formally launch the vouchers today in Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region.
Meanwhile, as planning kicks into high gear, Tourism Expo organisers have recorded high demand for exhibition space, and have called on tourism operators - especially in the categories of accommodation and activities – to book their space to avoid disappointment.
The expo will also feature various competitions and activations, including the popular Tourist of the Year contest, for which entries close on 30 September.
