JUDGING AI: A three-day Unesco Namibia training on artificial intelligence (AI) and the rule of law for Namibian judges and legal officers concluded last week.
Over the course of the training, participants explored legal and ethical challenges in AI deployment, human rights considerations in AI governance, algorithmic accountability, judicial independence, cybersecurity, privacy and data protection, and AI governance in the judiciary. The training equipped participants with knowledge and tools to harness the benefits of AI while safeguarding human rights and upholding the rule of law.
