Papama eager to impress

Former African Stars and Civics midfielder Marcel Papama says he cannot wait to make his debut for his new club in Botswana.
The midfielder, who made the move to Jwaneng Galaxy FC, has settled in well although he is still to feature for the club.
“I was just waiting for my documents to be finalised before I can actually play my first match.
"I am indeed already looking forward to playing in the team and I know I will be a great asset to this club.
“So far, I have been training with the team and have enjoyed every moment,” Papama said.
Papama has been in Botswana since the end of January along other Namibians who also made moves to the premier league in Botswana.
Many Namibians have started seeing Botswana as a destination due to the fact that league football in Namibia has been inactive for a long time.
“Botswana is a beautiful country and their football is well protected and advanced.
"Coming here for me is a way to create opportunities for myself and also making sure that I am able to play football at a higher level.
"I still continue to wish all my former teammates back home all the best with hope that league football will resume again.
“My main focus at this moment is to ensure that I continue growing as a professional and to make sure that I reach greater heights,” Papama added.
The Brave Warriors midfielder is also hopeful that playing in Botswana will keep him on the books of the national team.
The 25-year-old has already made several appearances for the national team.
The player was part of Namibia’s team which competed at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, where he featured in two games.
