||Garoeb to lead SSFD marketing

Southern Stream First Division (SSFD) has announced the appointment of marketing officer Rhuuksie ||Garoeb, effective 17 November.

"||Garoeb comes with a wealth of experience in social media marketing and organisation of successful sports events. Apart from being the founder of one of the most popular bush soccer tournaments in Namibia, the Queensab Soccer Bonanza, he played for Katutura outfit Strangers Football Club as a right back,” a statement from SSFD read.

||Garoeb played for Strangers in the Khomas Second Division between 1997 and 1999 and in the Central West Nationwide First Division from 2000 to 2001 before moving down south to Mariental. He was part of the Hardap Nampol Football Club in the Hardap Second Division between 2005 to 2006.

He worked for Namibia Press Agency as a journalist from 2016.

“It is a great honour to be appointed in this position and a privilege to be part of Namibian football.

“The aim here is to grown the SSFD in order to make sure that it becomes a financially sound division through advance marketing strategies,” ||Garoeb said.

Meanwhile, the SSSFD commenced over the weekend with the first clashes taking place as follows:
