Polo pronk in Namibië
FIRST OF ITS KIND: Namibia on Saturday hosted its first-ever polo exhibition at Farm La Muela on the outskirts of Windhoek. The event featured 11 players from Argentina, Germany, Poland, South Africa and Namibia, alongside 24 imported Argentinian polo horses. Opening the event, deputy minister of sport Dino Ballotti said polo could contribute to economic diversification through sport. The event was attended by Bank Windhoek managing director James Chapman, Emeraldsand Platforms executive director Nangula Uandja, and Tille Jeske, owner of Farm La Muela and organiser of the exhibition. In the photo are Uaandja and Ballotti. See full story on page 1 of Sport Wrap inside.
