The Namibian under-18 football team wrapped up their journey in the ISF World Cup 2024 tournament on a high note, securing a good victory against Turkmenistan in Dalian, China. The team showcased their resilience throughout the tournament, managing to secure three wins despite facing tough competition.The journey began with a challenging match, going down 0-2 against the host nation, China. However, they quickly bounced back against Serbia, securing a 1-0 victory with a goal scored by Rashid Naobeb of CBS Academy.Their momentum continued to build as they dominated their following match against Macau for a convincing 3-0 win. Tiago Willemse of Swakopmund Academy delivered a stellar performance, scoring a brace, while Naobeb added another goal to his tally.In a closely contested match against Morocco, Namibia fought hard in a narrow 2-1 defeat. Team captain Tjiunatjo Kakuenje managed to find the net with a goal.The tournament took a turn for Namibia as they encountered a heavy defeat against Guinea, losing 9-0 in the round of 16. Next up, in a playoff against Bulgaria, they put up a valiant effort in a 0-2 defeat. However, they remained determined to end their campaign on a high note.In their last game against Turkmenistan, Namibia secured a 2-1 victory.
