The MTC Volleyball National League (VNL) returns to court tomorrow to serve up more action in the country’s top-tier volleyball competition, after the Namibia Volleyball Federation (NVF) hosts its annual congress in Rundu today.

The annual congress will bring together the NVF leadership from eight associations nationwide at Gaga Guesthouse, the home of the Kavango Volleyball Association (KVA), to discuss ways to improve the sport in the country.

It will be held in keeping with the federation’s tradition and its vision of volleyball as a “sport that wins by serving success, one point at a time”, according to the NVF.

The MTC VNL fourth-round matches will be held at the Rundu Trade Fair Hall tomorrow and Sunday, featuring a 20-match programme across the men’s and women’s divisions, with 10 matches apiece.

During the previous round, held at the University of Namibia (Unam) Katima Mulilo Campus in Katima Mulilo last month, newly promoted sides shook up the standings by climbing to third place in both divisions.

In the men’s standings, Namibian Defence Force (NDF) Raptors are top and unbeaten with 17 points from six matches, ahead of Namibian Correctional Service (NCS), who sit second with a one-point deficit after six matches.
