Kooper, Thorburn eye glory at World Champs

Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF) has fielded the country’s top artistic gymnasts, Immanuel Kooper and Anne-Leen Thorburn, to represent Namibia at the International Gymnastics Federation’s (FIG) 53rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, taking place from Sunday to next Saturday in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The NGF confirmed yesterday that both gymnasts have arrived in Indonesia and are currently preparing for the global showpiece alongside their coaches, Leeland Christian and Morihei Anderson.
Kooper and Thorburn, both from Crete Gymnastics Club in Windhoek, are coming off international duty at the Paris World Challenge Cup last month, where they gained valuable experience competing against some of the world’s top gymnasts. PHOTOS: Namibian Gymnastics Federation/Facebook
