Jafta shines at Windhoek golf club ABInBev
The Windhoek Golf Club recently hosted the sixth of eight ABInBev Monthly Medal competitions with 47 golfers taking to the course in ideal sunny conditions for another competitive day of golf.
Neels Jafta emerged as the standout performer, producing an impressive nett score of 67 to claim overall honours and top the leaderboard.
His consistent performance earned him victory in a field that featured strong competition across all divisions.
Players also competed for a variety of side prizes during the event.
Chantel Visser and Gustav Jung claimed the short pool prizes after excellent shots on the designated short holes, while John Chadyiwa won the popular Two Club Challenge.
The ABInBev Monthly Medal series forms part of the race to crown the Windhoek Golf Club Medal Champion of the Year.
Players accumulate performances throughout the series to qualify for the prestigious Tournament of Champions at the end of the season, where the top 24 golfers are split into two groups of 12 and battle it out over 54 holes.
The prize-giving also featured lucky draws, with Aldo Beukes, Vilho Ndaikile and Birgit Schaffitz each receiving biltong hampers sponsored by The Corner Butcher.
In the A Division, George Vink claimed first place with a nett score of 72, followed by Charl Brits on 73 and Marc Schaefer on 74.
Paul Grobler won the B Division after returning a nett score of 71. Borris Erasmus finished second on 74, while Willem Triegaardt secured third place with 76.
Bruclin Maasdorp topped the C Division with an impressive nett score of 68, ahead of Llewellyn Husselman on 69 and Gustav Jung on 70.
Lucy Mohale won the Ladies Division with a nett score of 71. Natasja Louw finished second on 72, while Liana du Plessis also recorded a nett 72 to complete the podium.
The nearest-to-pin winners were Gelson Gidieon on the third hole, Lucy Mohale on the ninth, Mike Beavis on the 13th, and Graeme Fransman on the 17th.

Neels Jafta - Gross 79, Handicap 12, Nett 67.
