Gariseb thrilled by comeback win

Okahandja United coach Richard Gariseb has heaped praise on his players following their 2-1 win over Okahandja United in Saturday’s Debmarine Namibia Premier League match.Gariseb pointed out his team's energy and fighting spirit when they came up against a formidable team at the Unam Stadium. “This was indeed a great result for us against a team that was playing at home.“I am very happy with how the players responded after going one goal down in the first half.“They responded well and managed to grab a goal back in the dying minutes of the match,” Gariseb said.Team captain Erasmus Ikeinge put Khomas Nampol in the lead just before the interval. However, Okahandja United however pushed back strongly, with Chris Haoseb and Tjipenandjambi Tjaverua earning the visitors three points with two crucial goals.“The rest days we had after exiting the MTC Maris Cup gave us enough room to ensure that our players freshen up.“The double headers (two fixtures per weekend) are a problem, because you hardly can hardly put out the same energy twice, but we hope the team will build on some momentum going forward,” Gariseb added. Khomas Nampol FC coach Fortune Eichab, who entered the match with high expectations, cut a frustrating figure on the touchline.“It is not good to lose.
