Youth lead Khomasdal clean-up drive
Hilkka Taappopi, group lead of the Girl Project, joined other young women in a community clean-up campaign held on Saturday in Khomasdal, Windhoek. The initiative was aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 15.
The campaign focused on environmental conservation, highlighting the role of young people in protecting ecosystems while promoting responsibility and sustainable practices within local communities.
Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) spokesperson Imms Nashinge also joined the effort, calling on the government to prioritise funding for community-driven environmental initiatives. He stressed the need for stronger oversight to maintain cleanliness in Windhoek and urged collective action to ensure a cleaner, more sustainable environment across the country.
