Vendjii Kandetu quits LPM
A gazetted parliamentary candidate for the Landless People's Movement (LPM), Vendjii Kandetu, has resigned from the party with immediate effect, ending a six-year association with the opposition movement.
In a resignation letter dated 22 July and addressed to the party's operative secretary, Kandetu also relinquished her position as a member of the party's convention (central committee) and requested that her name be removed from the gazetted parliamentary candidate list.
Kandetu said the decision followed "careful reflection" and was made with "sincerity and respect" for the party, its leadership and members. She joined the LPM in 2020.
