Truck carrying beer involved in accident

A truck that was transporting alcohol from Windhoek to Oshakati was involved in an accident on the B1 road at Onyaanya in the Oshikoto Region. According to the driver who escaped unhurt, the accident happened around 04:00 when he tried to change lanes to avoid a donkey that was on the road. The driver said he lost control of the vehicle which subsequently fell on its left side. Some community members besieged the truck in the hope of snatching a beer or two but the police had already cordoned the area off to keep away the looters.
