Tragic toddler death in Omusati

Police say a one-year-old child has died from suffocation in the Omusati region after sand was allegedly forced into his mouth, nose and eyes by two-year-old twin boys.

The incident happened on Monday at a homestead in Okathitukambanda village.

According to police, the twins had been left at home under minimal supervision with three other children, including the deceased and a five-year-old cousin.

Investigations are ongoing.
