Talk to us, we'll listen
The Ondangwa Town Council engaged Onguta residents on Wednesday to discuss community concerns. Issues raised included slow police responses, electricity theft, illegal connections, drug abuse, waste delays, open manholes, dark streets and tax education.
Officials from the police, Nored, NamRA and the council attended to listen to community concerns.
Spokesperson Petrina Shitalangaho explained the meeting signalled the council's commitment to accountability. “We will continue holding these meetings across Ondangwa to ensure residents’ voices are heard and services are improved,” she said.
She said Onguta, also known as Extension 28, is a formal residential area currently undergoing significant infrastructure development. The road construction project covering the extension is ongoing, while the electrification project is nearing completion.
