Education minister Sanet Steenkamp has shared a message of encouragement and best wishes to Namibian learners sitting their Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary (NSSCO) and Advanced Subsidiary (NSSCAS) examinations.

The NSSCO examinations began on 12 October, while the NSSCAS (AS Level) examinations begin on 19 October.

“Trust your preparation. Approach each paper with confidence, determination and a calm mind. Take it one question at a time, manage your time wisely, follow the examination rules and give your best effort,” she said.

She added that while the examinations are important milestones, they do not define the entirety of who any person is. “Do not lose faith in your ability to learn, to grow and to pursue your aspirations,” she said.

Steenkamp urged learners not to be distracted by fear or by the performance of others, but to remain focused and disciplined. The minister also thanked teachers, school leaders, parents and caregivers for their commitment and sacrifices in supporting learners during this demanding time.
