The City of Windhoek yesterday handed over the site for the refurbishment of Sam Nujoma Stadium, marking the official start of a N$13 million upgrade project.

New Success Investments, which won the contract through a competitive bidding process, will carry out the renovations. City of Windhoek’s Manager for Parks, Sport, Recreation and Cemeteries, Uaka Kamikaze, said the work is expected to take 12 months. He explained that this phase of the project will focus strictly on structural renovations to restore the stadium to the required standard.
