SHORT NEWS: Six learners injured after crawling punishment at Kavango West school

Phillipus Josef
Grade 8 learners at Katjinakatji Senior Secondary School in Kavango West were allegedly forced to crawl by a teacher last Saturday, leaving six of the 10 punished students injured.

The group was reportedly disciplined for making noise. Several developed knee sores and were unable to walk properly for three days. They later received treatment at a local clinic and returned to school on Thursday. The school has submitted a report to the circuit inspector, while education officials are expected to provide feedback once the incident has been fully reviewed.
