SHORT NEWS: Protesters besiege fisheries ministry
Dozens of protesters gathered at the Ministry of Fisheries in Windhoek yesterday, demanding improved labour conditions and the restoration of fishing quotas. Maritime Union secretary general Joseph //Garoeb said the group has given the ministry 72 hours to respond, vowing to continue camping outside until answers are provided. If no response comes, this will mark the third ongoing protest in Windhoek, alongside demonstrations by ex-refugees, liberation struggle veterans at Swapo headquarters, and City of Windhoek workers, all still awaiting government attention.
