SHORT NEWS: Ngurare urges Rundu to upgrade roads
Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare last week called on the Rundu town council to prioritise upgrading the town’s infrastructure, with a particular focus on its roads. He highlighted that Rundu has less than 10% of the tarred road network found in Windhoek, despite being Namibia’s second most populated town with over 100 000 residents. Ngurare urged the local authority to develop a comprehensive plan to bring Rundu’s roads up to standard, stressing that the town’s rapid growth requires infrastructure capable of meeting the needs of its expanding population.
