SHORT NEWS: Former August 26 manager losses bid to have N$26m fraud case dismissed
Former August 26 Holdings financial manager, Paulus Moshana, last week failed in his attempt to have a N$26 million fraud case against him dismissed and struck from the court roll.
The Windhoek High Court dismissed Moshana’s application, in which he argued that August 26 had not established a prima facie case against him following a lengthy trial.
High Court Judge Nate Ndauendapo ruled that the matter would proceed and ordered Moshana to return to court on 17 October 2025. Moshana stands accused of misappropriating approximately N$26 million from August 26 Textile and Garment Factory (Pty) Ltd between April 2014 and July 2018. The company alleges that he diverted the funds into bank accounts belonging to entities allegedly linked to him.
The trial will continue later this month.
