SHORT NEWS - Man found dead by the roadside in Kavango West

A 55-year-old man was discovered dead yesterday morning at Gcwagi village in Kavango West region. According to police chief inspector Raimbert Muronga, the body of Andreas Mazambo, was found at around 07h00 by school learners lying motionless and face down alongside the road. Community members told police that the deceased lived alone and was last seen the previous night consuming traditional brew at a local shebeen in the village. A two-litre container with traditional brew was found at the scene. A preliminary examination revealed minor blood stains from the nose and mouth. The exact cause of death will only be confirmed through an autopsy. The body was transported to the Nkurenkuru police mortuary, and his next of kin have been informed.
