SHORT: Bipa opens northern office
Deputy Prime Minister and industries, mines and energy minister Natangwe Ithete on Saturday officially inaugurated the Business Intellectual Property Authority (Bipa) office in Ongwediva.
The minister said the new office would ease the burden on entrepreneurs who previously had to travel more than 600 kilometres from the northern regions to Windhoek to register businesses and attend to related matters.
He also urged vendors and small business owners to register their enterprises to be eligible for tender opportunities.
At the event, Ithete further highlighted the progress being made in rolling out online business registration services.
