President reaffirms youth employment commitment

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to youth empowerment, sport and creative industries as drivers of inclusive growth. Speaking at a luncheon in New York on 21 September, she outlined NDP6 as the country’s final plan toward Vision 2030, anchored on transformation, human development, sustainability and governance. She highlighted the N$257 million National Youth Fund for skills and apprenticeships, as well as plans to professionalise sport with facilities in every constituency. Citing the AU Region 5 Youth Games and the long-running Physically Active Youth (PAY) programme, she urged global partners to support Namibia’s holistic youth development agenda.
