Speaking at the official opening of the 18th Helao Nafidi Business Expo in the Ohangwena region, the president said the expo’s theme, 'Ignite the Future: Unearthing Youth Potential and Innovation at the Heart of Helao Nafidi Town', underscores the country’s priority to invest in young people as drivers of development.
She encouraged business owners not to lose hope over the state of Oshikango, saying government would work with regional leaders to revive the town.
Helao Nafidi mayor Darius Shaalukeni also urged residents to collaborate with the town’s leadership to restore Oshikango to its former economic prosperity.
Shaalukeni said Oshikango once stood as a thriving commercial hub and can reclaim its “golden days” through renewed private sector investment and joint efforts with authorities.
