President hails St Mary's Mission for century of service

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah attended the 100th anniversary celebrations of St Mary’s Mission in Odibo village, Ohangwena Region, on Saturday.
In her keynote address, Nandi-Ndaitwah paid tribute to a century of worship, education, social service and the church’s role in the liberation struggle.
She called on faith communities to remain a beacon of hope, especially in tackling challenges such as suicide, violence and despair, while highlighting the need for youth, women and community empowerment.
“A century is a celebration of legacy and promise. Together, let us build a just, equitable and God-fearing Namibia,” she said.
The event was held under the theme 'Commemorating Achievements and Visualising the Future'.
