The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) is hosting the joint regional preparatory workshop and postal committee meeting of the Communications Regulators’ Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) this week.
The three-day event brings together regional regulators, industry stakeholders, development partners and agencies committed to advancing the postal sector and strengthening regional cooperation.
CRAN CEO Emilia Nghikembua emphasised Namibia’s commitment to collaboration and progress. “We value the ongoing support and engagement of all participants, whether in person or virtually, as we work together to strengthen our regional postal networks,” she said.
The postal sector continues to play a critical role in economic development, facilitating trade, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and expanding financial inclusion through innovative logistics and digital solutions.
In the digital era, postal networks increasingly integrate with e-commerce, cross-border trade and last-mile delivery services, ensuring the secure and reliable movement of goods, information, and value across borders.
