Police to deploy 144 cadets in Kavango East

A group of 144 Namibian Police Force trainees are set to be deployed to various police stations in the Kavango East Region as part of their internship programme. According to Kavango East Regional Police Commander, Andreas Haingura, the group forms part of a larger intake of trainees recruited last year and are expected to learn the practical aspects of police operations, including dealing with inmates, administrative duties, and handling suspects. Haingura noted that the internship is expected to conclude at the end of April, ahead of their anticipated graduation in May 2026.
