Nored suspends fleet control officials
Electricity distributor Nored on Friday suspended two of its fleet controllers based at the Ongwediva and Rundu centres, pending an internal investigation. In an internal memorandum, acting CEO Kudumo Siremo informed staff that Seldene Steenkamp (Ongwediva centre) and Immanuel Shilunga (Rundu centre) had been suspended with immediate effect. According to the notice, both employees serve in the finance department and were suspended to allow investigations into unspecified allegations. Siremo emphasised that the suspensions should not be interpreted as findings of guilt or disciplinary sanctions, but rather as a procedural step “to investigate the validity of the alleged claims.” Nored has not disclosed details of the allegations or the expected duration of the investigations.
