Nored CEO fired after over a year on suspension
SHORT NEWS
Northern electricity distributor Nored has fired its CEO, Fillemon Nakashole, who has been on suspension with full pay since April 2024.
Mirjam Kondjeni, Nored’s acting CEO, informed staff in an internal memorandum yesterday morning that Nakashole’s employment at the company has been terminated, effective 1 December. Namibian Sun reported in August that the new executive director in the ministry of mines and energy, Moses Pakote, wrote a letter to the Nored board of directors, demanding a formal explanation as to why Nakashole’s disciplinary matter remained unresolved 15 months after he was placed on suspension.
