Nghikembua to lead CRAN until 2030

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has renewed the contract of its chief executive, Emilia Nghikembua, for a further five years, extending her term to 31 December 2030.
During her tenure, SIM card registration was introduced nationwide, while the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has reported that Namibia’s internet connectivity – measured by both access and meaningful connectivity – is improving at a faster pace than in other SADC countries.
